- Not Drinking Water.
Not only is water essential for your overall health and a fully functioning body, but it also aids in portion control by keeping you fuller longer. Keep your H20 nearby so you can be sure to hydrate all day long!
- You Aren’t Investing Time In Your Workouts.
Going for a daily walk is relaxing, but don’t expect to see dramatic weight loss results from this alone. At least 30 minutes of heartrate pumping activity will take your workouts to the next level.
- Too Much Of a Good Thing.
Healthy foods are great, but that doesn’t mean they’re a free-for-all. Foods such as nuts, avocado, and olive oil can all be very calorie dense if consumed in large portions. Reap the benefit of these foods but also remember they are not calorie-free!
- You Cling to Cardio
Strength training is one of the key pieces of the fitness puzzle. Not only does weight training strengthen your joints and prevent injury, but it also builds muscle mass while revving up your metabolism. Skip the cardio machines in favor of weights!
- Your Partner Isn’t On Board
Having a significant other who is unsupportive of your goals can be detrimental to actually accomplishing them! If your other half is suggesting take-out for dinner or encouraging you to skip the gym to sleep in – let them know that their support is needed and then find ways to compromise. For example, skipping dessert at your next dinner date in favor of splitting an app instead.
