I competed for the first time 9 years ago in Fitness and Figure. I loved it! The workouts, the healthy lifestyle and being on stage!
After my second competition, I got a new job that was incredibly demanding (70-80 hours per week), so getting to the gym on a regular basis did not seem like an option. Then, life happened!<
I got married, had two kids and got back into bad habits.
Then last fall, my aunt competed in her first competition. Watching her go through the process reminded me of how much I loved competing (and that I wanted to lose the rest of my pregnancy weight).
So, I did some research and decided to make a switch to a new coach – Janelle. I am so happy that I did!
I preppred for my first competition in 9 weeks and am still amazed at the results I’ve gotten with her guidance.
Not only do I feel great about my transformation, I feel that this is becoming a new lifestyle – not just training for competitions. This feels more sustainable and will allow me to be a stronger role model for my two daughters.
I think that seeing their mom and a physicially and mentally strong woman will empower them to do the same as they grow up.
Fingers crossed that this avoids at least some of body image issues that all girls seem to go through at some point in their lives.
I’m currently working towards my second competition and have all the faith that Janelle and the BA team will get me to where I need to be.
