If you focus only on the scale throughout your fitness journey, you’re only going to stress yourself out. But if the number on the scale isn’t changing, how do you know if you’re making progress?

Here are 4 signs that you’re making progress despite what the scale says!

  1. Your clothes are fitting differently

If your clothes that were once snug are starting to fit more loosely, guess what – its working! Sometimes we have to rely on non-scale victories and measurements to see if our bodies are changing.

  1. Your energy has improved

Do you need less rest time in between exercises or have more energy during your workouts? Energy levels are a huge gauge to see if your health is improving for the better.

 

  1. You’re less moody

Exercise releases endorphins, aka the “happy chemicals” in our brain. Ever notice that some of the grumpier individuals with low energy aren’t as active? This is no coincidence!

 

At the end of the day, just remember to take into account ALL of the ways your body is changing for the better – not just the number on the scale!
