Staying hydrated is something a lot of us struggle with. When you’re on the go 24/7, it’s easy to forget about adequate water intake. There are also times that water is simply not what we’re craving – but it’s still what we NEED!

Water is an essential component of your muscles, blood, brain, lunges, and even bones, so we should all be making a more conscious effort to drink up! Read on for some helpful tips on how to get in that H2O!

  1. MAKE IT A HABIT! Just like brushing your teeth, taking a shower, or any other aspect of your daily routine, make drinking water a regular activity throughout your day. As soon as you wake up, drink a glass of water. Before bed, finish your day with a glass of water—you get the point.
  1. MIX IT UP! Let’s be real – plain water can get boring. Try adding fresh fruit or a packet of our favorite all natural True Lemon packs! Made with real lemon juice and oils, no artificial flavors and no preservatives. Also, remember that not all water has to be consumed in fluid form! Eat more fruits and veggies to help you increase your daily water intake, with the bonus of adding more vitamins and minerals to your diet.   1. CHALLENGE YOURSELF! Keep track of your daily water intake. If your water bottle doesn’t have volume measurements, opt to take a sharpie and draw lines and goal times for when you would like to have consumed the amount by. Physically writing this in will help you stay accountable, and create a fun challenge. Even set an alarm reminder on your phone if it helps! Do whatever you can do to make drinking water throughout the day a part of your daily routine until it becomes second nature.


Staying well-hydrated is crucial to maintaining normal bodily functions, recovery from your workouts, and moderating feelings of fullness. It may have no caloric value, but it (literally) gives us life. We’ll drink to that!
