Sugar addiction is real – break the addictive cycle of cravings with our top 4 tips for detoxing!
- Don’t drink your calories
Stay away from any form of “liquid sugar.” That includes juices, sodas, sports drinks, sweetened teas or coffees…cut it out cold turkey!
- Load up on protein
Protein, protein, protein at every meal. This is the key to balancing blood sugar and cutting cravings. Eggs, fish, chicken, grass-fed meats, and seeds are just a few options – incorporate as many as you can!
- Fill up on veggies
Aim for at least 1 serving of vegetables at each meal. Broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, asparagus, green beans, mushrooms, zucchini, bell peppers, eggplant, artichokes…try them all!
- Incorporate good fats
Just like protein, having good fats in your meals throughout the day is going to help satisfy your cravings and balance out those blood sugars. Nuts, seeds, avocado, omega 3’s from fish, and all kinds of oils (MCT/XCT, coconut, olive…) are going to be your best bet.
