So the other day I was in the grocery store and realized I had been missing an important protein in my diet, tuna!
I used to have it all the time when I was young, loaded with mayo of course, then had it a while back when competing and just have totally forgot about it recently…shame on me!
But, I’m bringing tuna back baby!
Below is a recipe I whipped up and wanted to share with you.
You can of course have it on whole grain or Ezekiel bread or even a rice cake. But today I was longing for a crunch that my salad just did not satisfy me with, so I put them a top Mary’s Gone Crackers which you can find in any grocery store in the organic section mostly.
Now I usually don’t recommend crackers, however these are crackers made with organic brown rice, organic quinoa, organic flax seeds and organic sesame seeds.
Crunchy and flavorful, they come in 5 flavors: Original, Caraway, Herb, Black Pepper, and Onion.
Now back to the tuna. Tuna is high in protein, vitamin D, B12, niacin and Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3′s can help lower the risk of heart disease, ease the pain of arthritis, reduce asthma complications, and is essential in the growth and development of young children and lean muscle, which makes it perfect for you and the kids!
